Trade, transportation, and utilities employment reached 36,900 in March 2026.

Education and health services employment reached 29,200, while professional and business services employment reached 21,200.

The Mobile unemployment rate was 4.0% in March 2026, preliminary and not seasonally adjusted.

BLS reported Mobile manufacturing employment at 18,700 in March 2026, preliminary and not seasonally adjusted.

Mobile economic development materials say aerospace is the region’s fastest-growing industry sector, with large employers growing 56% in five years.
